I am not familiar with A-C tractors. Is there anything to be aware of regarding the 175 series. I am looking at a 1974 model with a little over 4000 hours and a new GL 76" bucket loader asking $10,500. It is the right size and has the right features, but a little help from the forum would be appreciated.

My neighbor had a 175 D with loader.
I used it many times for plowing and it pulled 3-16"s in heavey clay easily.
When it was used as a loader tractor, the clutch had to be replaced twice in eight years. The brakes was repaired more times then not too.
The tractor now sits behind the barn. A fuel leak caught fire and distroyed it.
It was a good running tractor.

Be sure you check the brakes, clutch and tranny.

lawrence. 175 allis diesel uses a 248ci perkins diesel good tractor check make sure it don't pop out of any of the gears the allis are bad about that if the owner try to speed shift or didn't let the trans. come to a complete stop when shifting other wise they will last a long time and give good service part are easy to come buy.also check the hi-lo shift that it will pull in both sides
