i have a fairbanks-morse type fm-xv4b7 serial# 3173677 it looks like it is in good shape could any one tell me which tractor it is for and about how much it is worth thank you

The fairbanks-morse fm series mag's where used on a bunch of small, {under 30 hp}, tractors, sationary and portable engines and some gas powered portable welders. what it fit is a matter of the drive and mount.The fm-xv was most likely a tractor application, but, it's kinda' tough to nail dow. I'll look thru my old tractor and emplement manuals and see if I can narrow it down for you.
It will be worth somewhere between 25 to 100 bucks, provided it works,{generates a good strong spark.}, and what it will fit. Regards, J.L.
