I just bought a G that is only 36 inches wide. My other one is almost 45 inches wide. What is the diference?

The wheel tread of all G's is 36 to 64 inches, they are fully ajustable every 4 inches. To ajust the front wheels remove the bolts that hold the front axels and loosen the tie rods and slide then apart(not that easy if they haven't been moved for years). The back wheels are changed by changing the way that the centers bolt in or the way the center bends (in or out). To change the back wheels from 36 to 64 inches just put the wheels on the opposite sides of the tractor but keep the V mark pointing the right way. From (-) to )-(. This is to accomidate different implements and row spacings.

yep, with the wheels/tires off, the axle shaft end to end should be same width on each tractor. all adjustement is in the wheel/rim combination mounting.

John, the wheels are the same as on my other G. I am measuring across the rear wheels from outside to outside.

about 9 inches. sorry, couldn't resist! Maybe the smaller one was cut down for a specific application. Do they both have the same engine?
