WF#149?

I have an old WF#149 and decided to see what year it is. I looked on the serial number list on this website and it shows 38s starting with #389. Do I need to look at the list or the rear axle again? Any help or comments appreciated.

Thanks Roger,that was the anwser I was looking for. Up until now everyone told me production started in 38. Actually I think you are ahead of me as mine is still the way I bought it, complete but stuck tight. Does anyone know if there is much of a market for such a tractor sitting in the middle of Kansas? I already have more projects started than I dare mention. It is sitting outside and I hate to see a potentialy nice tractor deteriorate more than it has already.

Rob,

According to my book " the Allis Chalmers Story" by C. H. Wendel the first WF's were built in 1937 with the starting sn. of 1 and ending with no. 288. Therefore I would say you have an unstyled '37 and that beats mine as I have sn. 227. Mine is still all disassembled, just the way I bought it, but someday.....!

I have #287 1937 I restored her to 90% .I love her . Allis is a SWEET girl .I have only seen 2 other WF I live in MD.
