Hi I am looking at a C NF in good shape with new back tires and a belly mower he wants $1800 for it is this a good price, also how well do they move snow with a 3pt blade. There is also a C with a woods belly mower WF I found what would it be worth it is really clean. Can I run a Hyd loader on these does the stock pump have enough power or do you add a pump to pto or engine. is the pto live on these. Thanks for the help.

i paid 2250 for my B with mower which looked good but wasn't. THe local dealer has a B with the mower that looks "rough" (being polite, "junked" would be more accurate) that he's asking 1500 for. If it's a nice mower it alone will run you $600 to replace. I paid 1000 for my C which was not a good deal. So 1800 seems fairly reasonable if the tractor runs good. Be sure to mow with it for 10 minutes or so befor you buy it, I found a lot of the problems show up when they get warm.

Not smart about tractors; 1800 is about the average price,[at least around here.], for a C. However if it has a three point hitch it has been added, they came with a draw bar. The C model don't have live power, the pto stops when the clutch is depressed. I doubt the internal hyd pump will have enough pressure to lift much of front loader, the use of an auxillury pump will have to be employed. My choice would be an engine driven pump, using a bypass, this would be ready for use any time the engine is running. J.L.

Good shape in your eyes and good shape in my eyes might be different, but 1800.00 wouldn't sound out of line if I was looking at what I thought was a C in good shape.

Like any small tractor you want to push very much snow with, It would do the best job with weights and tire chains.

Check Ron's posts about the loader he built and how he set up the hydraulic pump off the crank shaft pully.

No the little B's and C's did not have live PTO's
