Having trouble with tractor. Sudden onset of "starving" for fuel. Have done the following: Cleaned sed bowel, good gas flow to carb. Cleaned the carb, nothing out of ordinary. Tried new plugs no help. When it first started doing it, the bowel cleaning helped, but the next day back to the same. Cold weather around here is only external that I can think of.
Also, carb settings?
And how do you determine what kind of carb? only thing is numbers stamped on top collar where it bolts to the manifold-dealer says it means nothing to his parts book. : c or z 27-209 or 227-209.
Any help would be great. Thanks

i had the same problem just two days ago. tore the carb down and all that thought i was getting good gas flow through the sed.bowl. but it still wouldnt run unless the choke was pulled a the way out and then it didnt run good. but while it was sitting there running i turned the gas off to the sed.bowl and the thing died instantly.what i thought was good flow actually it wasnt. the shut off had trash in it and wasnt putting out a big enough stream. i tore the bowl apart and cleaned the valve now it runs great.

Be sure your gas tank is clean. If you have a landfill on top of your sediment bowl in the bottom of the gas tank she won't get gas.
