WD45 manifold crack

The manifold on my WD45 has a crack on the side against the engine. Have any of you had any luck in welding cracks? On the other hand, should I just bite the bullet and get a new one. Also the two outside ports are thinner on the outer edge than the interior ones.

I freely admit to having limited skills and experience in welding, but here is what worked for me on exhaust manifolds. I used non-machinable rods, which are steel and made for cast iron. They are the lowest cost rod made for cast iron. Built a big fire in the wood stove. Clamped the manifold to a 3/8 thick flat bar and heated the whole thing on top of the stove. Welded the manifold while still hot. Immediately removed the clamps and put the manifold into the stove. Let the fire die naturally and take the manifold out 2 days later. It worked well for me.

Sounds to me like you know more about the repair of cast iron than some of the "welders" I know.
