Does anyone have any information about the 1915 Allis Chalmers truck that was only produced for one year? I have a book about Allis Chalmers history but it only mentions Allis Chalmers tractors and machinery. I don't know if they mean pickup truck or larger when they refer to it as "truck".

Marv; The only reference I can find is on a russian contract "truck". It more closely resembles a half track than a truck. It had steel front wheels and tracks on the rear, open drivers seat, and a bed of sorts on the back. They [Russians] took 10 units as well as 1 proto-type. The price per unit is stated at 1500 per. Kinda' steep for the day since a ford "T" was about 350. J.L.

I have found a reference to a truck-tractor, but can't figure how many were made. They talk about Russia buying 10 units and one prototype. They had tracks on the back and steel wheels on the front. Doesn't list anything about the tranny or the motor. The price was a little steep at $5,000. Model T's sold in 1915 for under $300.
