I'd like to get some opinions about what to do with my B A-C that I don't need anymore. I'm wanting to get the greatest return possible and I'm debating parting it out or selling it outright.

It's a later model with the straight front axle and I've bought, but not installed, the aftermarket 3-point hitch kit.

I was thinking $1500-1800 for it as it sits but was wondering if I could get that much or more for it parting it out.

Any input would be appreciated.

If you live near Yuppie-ville, like we do, you could do a cosmetic restoration (no dents and fresh paint with new decals), add turf tires, a 60' belly mower and take it to a Martha Stewart looking location for a sales photo. You could advertize it as a restored piece of priceless Americana...
"Why would anyone want stamped sheetmetal when they could mow their lawn like this?"

Those Yuppies are paying nearly $11,000 for an upsized JD garden tractor just so they can mow their 3/4 acre lawn. I bet they would give you half that for your AC-B.

Al; While it is true you can part out youre tractor and make more, You will likely find it takes much longer to sell all the parts than it will to sell it out right. If you clean it up, maybe paint it,
you could get 2500 to 3000 with the 3-point hitch,
from the hobby farmers, or transplanted city folks.
I would not for any reason sell it as "RESTORED",
as this implies a warranty as to condition and marketability. As you can imagine this could well cost you far more than the selling price if, say a month after the sale the engine fails, courts tend the hold you to these implied or inferred warranties. Always sell good working tractors as such and always include the words "AS IS" in any sales reciept or bill of sale. The allis B is a fine little tractor, I own three among ten others.
But never, NEVER, misrepresent a tractors condition or imply a warranty, it can, and probably will come back to bite you.

To; You make fun of 3/4 acre lots. Not all of us are subdividing, don't generalize. You should be aware many elderly are disposed of their realestate every year by developers would by large tracts at tax, seizure, and other means, surrounding family farms. some of with have been held by the same family for generations. they then offer owners rediculessly low sale prices, when refussed they then go to court, and, after the proceeding gain possesion of the property by right of eminent domain. the former owner are awarded a token payment, always far less than market, and instructed to vacate the premisses within 90 days. Something to think about when you indevere to buy one of those 3/4 acre lots. Now who's the hypocrite. If it were'nt for the selfish demandes of the upwardly mobile and unthinking, I would not have to defend friends
and family from such actions. This is bussiness I would GLADLY DO WITHOUT!!!!! Country lawyer

Facts are just facts. You see people wit big incomes buyin 11,000.00 tractors to mow small lawns through out this US of A. How is seein and talkin bout it makin fun. I am fer the yuppies helpin keep the machinery dealers in busines. Hard for farmers to do it when wheat prices is still the same as it was in 1960.

Speaking from someone who works in a salvage yard
you can probably make more by cutting it up,however you also have more work and a lot more time involved.Plus you have to listen to whiners
that believe anything old is a museum piece.
