I have a 51 Ca recent rebuild and carb rebuilt ,crank it over and no gas getting to plugs ?????

I have always found it best to go the basic route. 1, make sure your getting gas to the carb.
2. Take the bowl off the carb and make sure the float is working, letting the gas in.
3. Re check your fuel mixture settings.
4. If it is extremely cold in your location and you have an oil bath air cleaner, drain the oil, sometimes they freeze up and stop the system from sucking in air and fuel.

Larry, have you worked on your distributor or changed plugs or wires. The reason I ask is because I accidentally re-installed my wires onto the distributor 180 degrees off after servicing. I thought I wasn't getting gas, but actually my firing was off 180. I felt like an idiot when it fired right up after fixing. Does the carb flood with gas and leak out of the bottom drain when cranking? Is your float needle stuck? Did you use the Viton tipped needle with the kit?
