I BOUGHT A D-19 A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO. IT HAD BEEN MODIFIED IN THAT THE SEAT HAD BEEN RAISED ABOUT 6 INCHES, THE STEERING WHEEL SHAFT HAD BEEN LENGTHENED TO ACCOMODATE THE EXTRA SEAT HEIGHT, THE CLUTCH AND BRAKE PEDALS HAD BEEN LENGTHENED AND THERE WAS A PLATFORM MADE OF TREAD PLATE TO FILL IN THE SPACES. THE POWER DIVERTER LEVER HAD ALSO BEEN LENGTHENED. I HAVE PUT IT ALL BACK TO ITS STOCK CONDITION, BUT I WONDER IF ANYONE KNOWS OR HAS ANY IDEAS WHAT THIS MODIFICATION HAD BEEN MADE FOR. SOMEONE SURE SPENT A LOT OF TIME AND EFFORT INTO THIS MODIFICATION.

Is the D-19 a platform tractor to begin with? If not then it sounds like they made it one. Or possibly for a wheel chair driver or someone with physical needs.

NO, IT WAS NOT A PLATFORM TRACTOR ORIGINALLY. SOMEONE HAD MADE IT ONE AND I PUT IT BACK TO STOCK. I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE PURPOSE OF THE MOD WAS AND THAT WAS THE PURPOSE OF THE INQUIRY. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COMMENT. JIM W
