As silly as it sounds, I can't get the oil filler cap off my 42 C. Cap will turn 360 degrees with no problem, just will not come stright up.Called my uncle who had the tractor and he laughed , said he never had a problem with it.Took valve cover off to had oil and carried cover over to neighbor and we both looked and pulled together. Does it line up a certain way to pull up?I was reluctant to post this question on line but If someone could help me and try not to make me look too dum. Thanks Fred

I thought I had a picture of one but can't find it at this time, but they just slide on. I have had that problem with some that have been setting around. I cut a slot in a short 2"X4", slid it over the tube, under the breather and rapped the 2"x4" with a hammer. If it don't come right off, get a bigger hammer.
