D-19 Allis Chalmers Tractors

I do not see much in the way of D-19 tractors in the sales column ,the pictures column or the classified columns. Does anyone have any thoughts about this tractor. I have just Bought a D-19 tractor and it appears to be in great shape. Any idea of the value? It's good looking, good sheet metal, tires,complete, original tractor. Also i have two manuals on serials #'s. One says the tractor serial # is under the seat and the other one says on touque housing ,left side of tractor. i think it is one under the seat. Does anyone know for sure? Thanks for your help ron

I have had trouble with the rear end, had to replace the ring gear and pinon. I understand the serial # is under the seat, atleast that's the only way I could make the numbers jive with production fiqures.

The only thing I ever heard was that the rear end was a little on the light side. I have a neighbor who has nearly 10,000 hours on his. The serial number is on the left side of the clutch housing.

the ser.# on my 1963 d19 is on top of the rear end
housing right behind the seat ,it can be read from the rear of the tractor. the d19 like all 6
cyl. gas tractors i have been around like their fuel and the d19 is a little under powered for its size but a good dependable machine.i have a loader on mine and use it bailing and feeding big bales day in & day out
