What size were the standard from-the-factory rear tires on a WD and on a WD-45? I sort of remember them being maybe a 12-28 or so, but a memory is a terrible thing to waste.

My original Allis Model WD Operating and Parts Illustration shows two rear wheel sizes :the most common of course as 11 X 28 or 12 X 28, but also has a picture of f/9 X 38.The steel rim is slightly different, is not Power Shift, and has an adapter plate to mate steel rim to axle.

The WD's had 11-28's and the WD45's had 13-28's. They are good tractors except that I think the foot clutch is too far away from the seat and kind of a awkward position since your seat is on the right side (don't like that either).

Thanks for the info - maybe my memory is not gone after all!! I had read something the other day about 38 inch tires on them and didn't believe it at all. Would probably make for good gas economy, though, running downhill like that, eh?

The WD had smaller rims than the 45
