that I am working on. I've returned from the barn a couple of hours
ago and just posted this message to the Stratton Allis Page: "I replaced my trans/hydralic oil with 7 qts of 20 wt oil. I believe what was in it was heavier, which may have been the
reason why the pump was not working. When I engaged the pto and
tried the hydralics they worked. But oil came out of the end
of the cylinder and the housing is cracked and oil comes out of it.
I have just taken the pump off. I am hoping that it can be braized or maybe even JD Weld. Here are my questions.
1. What about the cylinder leaking?
2. Is my idea of braizing the pump feasible?
3. How does the pump operate. When I pull on the lever, the cylinder
goes out. And when I release it, is it suppose to go back in by the weight of the implement. The hydralics on my Farmall Cub, push lever up
and hydralics
go one way, push it down it goes the other.
Any and all suggestions are appreciated. Thanks for the past posting
