I have a WD45 that has been converted to 12 volt but I don't think it was done right. The only thing changed was that an alternator was installed. I think that all the ignition parts are original. Now I have no spark. This tractor was my grandfathers and hasn't been run for about 2 years. i have cleaned out all the old gas and put in a fresh battery. It cranks good but has no spark. What next?? Thanks Don.

If a resistor wasn't installed before the coil it will burn up the points and condenser, maybe the coil also. I use a chrysler ignition resistor. It also is likely negative ground now so the wires on the coil would have to be swapped around, because the 6 volt was positive ground and the polarity of the coil will be wrong if the wires aren't changed.
