Lucky story of the day! I was attempting to find out why the AC-C was not running up to speed, turns out the spring on the push rod (gas push rod?) was stuck, not self lubricating as indicated in the book. With the engine running, and in the dark, I pushed it with my index finger.....finger slipped off and went into the moving fan...nothing happened, it just through my finger and hand away from the motor and brused it.

Tip of the day....don't do what I did. (hehe)

AC's were specifically designed to not cause injury! :-) I did the same while tinkering with the govenmor on my D-14 . . . same results as yours!!
