I hear a knock when I lift my 3 point shortly after starting. Am I doing damage?

Are you returning the lever to the neutral position when you get it up? If not, it'll sit there and pump pressure. That'll make it knock.

Thanks for your response. Yes, it starts to knock as soon as it begins to lift. This the second rebuilt pump. I thought the first one failed because my snowblower was heavy. I put on larger lift cylinders. It knocks even on a light implement. I'm using 10 weight hydraulic oil. The cam lobs wore the first time and I don't want to replace that shaft again. I was hoping I would hear that this sound is normal. Maybe not, eh?
