No brakes. Both brake pedals froze up , did get one free with pb blaster by spraying in through the top opening. Right brake pedal still will not depress. See a spring hanging out the bottom.Manual says to take off the fenders? Do I really have to, or can I just take off that top plate and work through that 2x5 opening? Need all the advise I can get, not really sure where to start. Thanks

Take off the fenders and the angle iron frame they bolt too and it will be much easier to get to the brake band that contracts onto the brake drum. The brakes should work without the spring, but you need the spring to get them to release all the way. See how the other spring is hooked up and find a replacement spring, or bend one to work, spareingly lube the linkage and take it up until the brakes release and work ok.

Oh, take off the fenders and their frame as a unit, there isn't any reason to seperate them. You probably need to take off the seat too.
