Anyway, she has a puddle under her. Now that the Allis is in the shop in the concrete floor I have found a new problem... I have antifreeze on the back side of the pulley dripping down and eventually making it to the floor. Can the seal(s) in the pump be replaced or is it time for a new pump? I'll be consulting the manuals tonight but I thought I'd start with the experts advice.

Get a pump, it's too much work to have to go back and re-do it again if you missed something, re-man's are not very expensive and a whole lot better !

Joe, that sounds like the voice of experience there. Mrs. Murphy tells me that presents for Allis will have to wait until after Christmas but I'll go with the remanufactured pump.

A rebuild kit is available from your AGCO-Allis dealer. Or you can get a rebuilt water pump and turn in the core.

Any pitfalls to watch for? The drawing in the IT manual looks very straight forward but it is a drawing not an actual photo. Any special tools needed? Again, nothing mentioned in the manual.

A press is needed to rebuild. Also the body
face has to be smoothed with a cutter or stone
to restore the surface for the carbon seal to
contact. We stock the rebuild kits & rebuilt
pumps, both from Allis.
