WD manifold?

I've been having problems with my WD running rough and loosing power as the engine warms up. I have repaced most of the electrical, plugs, plug wires, points, condensor, rotor and cap and it's all tuned up. The carburetor has been rebuilt and seems to be working well. It runs like a top for about 10-15 minutes but then starts to run rough like it's missing. I read at one time on this site of someone who had a rough idling tractor and found that their manifold was loose. I have checked checked my bolts and they seem tight. With my symptoms, does this add up? If so, is there someting I can do to confirm a leaky manifold without ripping everything apart? I'm running out of ideas fast. Thanks for all your help, past and future.

I suspect the intake is indeed leaking. Get a
Bernzomatic type torch, turn it on but don't light
it. Wave the tip near each intake port joint to
head. If it sucks the propane in you will hear it pick up & run smoother. Do this only after the problem has shown up or you won't learn anything.
If you do remove the manifold check it with a
straight edge for warpage.

Sounds to me like a coil problem.Are you using
12 volts on a 6v coil? That will cause problems
like you described.The coil could also be heating
up and doing the same thing.Will the miss smooth out if you choke it a little? That could be from a worn throtle shaft bushing. You can find leaks in your manifold by spraying something like wd40 or carb cleaner around any suspected areas while the engine is at an idle.If there are any major leaks the engine will speed up when it sucks in the extra fuel. c tucker

I forgot to mention that the tractor is still equiped with a 6 volt Magnito. I'll try the WD40.
