Does anyone know the best way to put the oil wick in an Allis CA? I have a new one but it's bigger than the hole.Can yo help?

bill: What you need is a "sneaky pete", it is used to "sneak" a rear main seal in ford motors. It looks like the old chinese finger puzzle. The way it works is the harder you pull the tighter it gets. Fish it through the hole, slide the end of the wick in and pull through the length you need. They are available at most "good" auto parts suppliers. The one that I have was made by K-D Tools.

You have to push it in with a small blunt object. It is not easy. Be careful as the wick can break. Good luck.
