The hand clutch lining on my CA has had oil on it , has anyone tried heating it or burning it off. I was thinking of putting it in an oven at 400 degrees and driving the oil off . There is still plenty of facing thickness left. All advice welcome.

Dear Sirs,
We hope at the time of your periodical stock check-ups, some excess stocks of woven brake lining in rolls, flat sheets and clutch facing for commercial
vehicles and industrial application might have become available with you.
If you can make us a special offer, we can lift the entire quantities of such excess stocks and can also send our man for inspection and spot settlement, provided your prices are real attractive, Please favour and send us details of
your excess stocks and your minimum asking price per kg or per tonne expected for the same by
return fax. Thanks.
With bestregards.

I haven't tried this on clutches but it worked very good on a brake band that was soaked in oil. I took the brake band off my B farmall and put it on the gas bbq grill for about an hour. Its been able to lock the wheel for 6 years now with no problem. Hope thsi helps. ( By the way, the lining was riveted on, probably wouldn't work if it is glued on)

hook the tractor to a tree and let it smoke. It will get better.

If you have the time, cover them with oil dry, if not what Brian said.

I have had some success in cleaning clutch and brake facings by repeatedly spraying with Brake Cleaner and air drying with compressed air.
