I put a link to your post over to Stratton's Unofficial Allis Chalmers page and got some pretty definite identification of it as an Allis Chalmers UC converted to sugar cane configuration by the Thompson Cane company in Thibidoux La. Regular UC's were made from 1930 until 1941. Only cane versions of the UC were built from 1944 to 1953.

If you can scan your picture and get it into a file you will be able to email the picture as an attachment. Go to www.photopoint.com and open up a free account. You can then email the picture to photopoint and with their instructions get a URL to copy and paste in the box below. If you get stuck email me and I will help you one step at a time.
