Since I can only find one oil level check plug { it's in front of & below the left axle housing } on my 1941 C I'm guessing that the trans, diff & PTO all use the same oil. Is this correct? If so what grade of oil does it use ?

We recommend 30 non detergent because 20
is now non existant in our area. The only
problem with the lighter hyd/trans oils is that it may leak easier past old seals. Bill

I use Case/IH Hytran fluid in my B. But any of modern hydraulic/transmission oils will do.

I run straight 20 all year. non detergent. Five Qts. Six if you have hydraulics, that will bring you right to the top. Run it using the hydraulics, forward and back. Then check the level again. There are two drain plugs under the back end, drain them both. They are about 10 inches apart. That should take care of it, good luck.
