I have recently purchased an Allis C. It has a woods belly mower on it and I love the set up. I am going to mount a front snow blade on it and I have a pretty good idea of how I'm going to do it. What I was wondering is if anyone out there has done this and likes theirs or has some helpful advice. If so, I would like to see pictures of one that has been a good design.

I HAVE A PLOW ON THE FRONT OF MY C. IT IS A REAL SLICK SET UP. IT CAME WITH THE TRACTOR, IT WOULD BE EASY TO MAKE UP IF YOU ARE GOOD WITH A WELDER. IT PIVOTS LEFT AND RIGHT. A CABLE LIFTS IT FROM THE REAR. I HAVE TO TAKE ALL THE SUPORTS OFF TO MOUNT THE BELLY MOWER ( I STILL AM LOOKING FOR A 6' MOWER) BUT THAT IS A ONE HOUR JOB. I WILL TRY TO GET SOME PICTURES FOR YOU. GOOD LUCK

I would be very interested to see the pictures of your plow set up. Thanks for the input.

I would suggest that you go to the article archive and read the article "When push comes to shove". It helped me realize what an undertaking it would be to put a front blade on my d-17. . .I am going to wait and see if I can afford to do it at a later time.

If you want pivot, you would probably have to look at an external pump/resv. or a snowplow pump.

Just my 2 cents.

I bought an AC B from someone with more welding rod and time than sense. He had a blade that was about seven foot and had to weigh about 500 pounds
added to all the other Rube Goldberg junk he had on their and it's a wonder the damn thing even moved! It worked for crap.I cut it all off in favor
of a 3 point hitch conversion. But that was his plan and this is mine.Good luck in your endeavor. Dan

We had a 1942 C nf with tire chains that we used to plow snow. Thats all we had back in 1978.
Wish I had a picture of it. Dad bolted a piece down on each side of the engine and he put braces back to the drawbar from them. He had a hole at the lower end of the two drops to put a pin in and hold the snow plow frame and let it pivot. He used arms from the rear cultivator lift but I guess you could make one with the mower lift. His plow was very heavy and took more to lift.

Like I said a picture would help.
