A recently purchased D17 was delivered with a 3 bottom mounted plow. The hydraulic system pressure lifted the plow at first but it starts to drop after a short time in use. I added oil to the HYD system and it corrected the drop problem for a short time, but again the plow drops down after a short time in use. Checking the oil system again, found it low and the transmission gear box over full! What could be the problem? Is it difficult for a handy retired fella to fix himself?

The lift cylinder is in the transmission. The hose that supplies oil is either leaking or the cylinder needs new seals. E-mail if you need help where are you at?
