WD hand clutch stud

I bought a WD and the hand clutch mounting bushing is completely worn out. This has caused serious wear and gouging on the mounting stud and on the inner surface of the hand lever mounting hole, resulting in alot of "slop" when using the hand clutch. The lever hole I can drill out and press in a new bushing. The stud exits from the side of the transmission housing. Does anyone know how to remove, repair or replace this stud? Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

From the diagram in the manual, it appears to be a "press-fit" pin as there are no threads shown on it.
