We just brought home an Allis G sn. G 10001. It is in an fair original condition and runs ok. Is there any kind of dashboard on these tractors and if so where is it located, and what is mounted on this dash. Thanks !!

This is the 12 year old G expert. Your dash is a small piece of sheetmetal that goes on the opoosite side of the muffler, and you will need to get off to do anything on it. It should have an ammeter, an ignition switch, and a light switch.

The closest thing to a dash is the pannel in the back above the generater with the ammeter, ignition switch and charge/light switch. The front was left to allow a good view of belly mounted atachments. This is also the reason for the cut out in the steering wheel and 2 pipe front frame. I have included a link to my G below.

Theres' a small plate on the engine near the dip stick. On it you'll find an ammeter, Light switch and "on" switch. How much did you pay, if I may ask? Jim

Thank you for the information. Sorry I didn't mention it yesterday,we live in the Netherlands, and Allis G's are not to common over here. The price was about $1200 and this included a sort of planter which we think is original Allis Chalmers. Thanks!
