Got a question, and being new to the tractor world I have to ask some pretty dumb questions, so bear with me please. I just purchased a really
smooth running WD (1952 vintage) and everything works just great on it. My dad, who due to health reasons, isn't able to keep up with all the things that need taking care of when you live in the middle of BFE. Anyway he has a WD-45 which has been an excellent tractor for 20+ years
except he hasnt been to smooth on it's upkeep (IE hasnt turned one damn bolt in 20+ years or changed anything prob including the oil) so it runs....pretty rough and pto is broken, brakes are shot you get the idea. My lil problem is we have a truckload of three point goodies that need pulled around to shred, scrape, sickle, and bout everything else you can do with em that are..... .big. The WD-45 would do fairly well, but you could tell a bigger tractor would do a better job

So, I have bunch of implements with a less powerful (But in much better shape) WD. can I crank up the power on the WD to at least match the ol 45 without getting into any major motor surgery or breaking the rest of the drivetrain etc...

I am not wanting to build a pulling tractor, or some finicky prima-donna that will only start on warm tuesdays, Just a lil more power to make it a better working machine. and maybe kind of come close to a reasonable price Thanks for any and all help, ..... and for reading the whole damn question.

I would simply add a 3-point hitch kit to the WD and go to work. The HP difference between the WD and a sickly WD-45 won't be much anyway.

My 2¢,
Phil
