I just bought an Allis CA. It needs a good deal of work put into it to get it back to heavy working condition again. I am wondering if someone could tell me what i would have to do to convert it to a 12 volt system?, if it is even possible to do? Were they or can they be equipt with hydralics? specifically 3 pt hitch. Also the owner didn't know does anyone know about how many HP it is? drawbar and pto plz? Thank you, Bandit~

If your generator is working you may consider keeping 6 volts. C or CA they start easy in the winter with the right battery cable. I like mine because I can start it by a hand crank in the winter when my 6 volt bat. gets weak. If you don't have a crank they can be made pretty easily.
If you are still set on 12 volts do a search for 12 volt conversion. That subject has been addressed in depth on this sit.

I see it was a C. I have a 1941 C I am also looking at 3 point conversions for. The ones in the other post sell them for both. I don't have the address but I am looking at one built by C and D equipment that looks good and I think it sells for $350. The C has around 23Hp belt and 18 drawbar. The Cs didn't all have hyraulics. If it doesn't have hyraulics you should be able to find one to add to it. It's also not live hydraulics it only works when the pto is on.
