NAPA for the shock is a good idea, but I got mine at the local Wal-Mart. Works excellent. Had to soap the rubber grommets for the mounting bolts but that worked too.

Ron
Take your old shock to a NAPA store. I did this with the shock from my "Monroe" seat and they took all the measurements ( diameter , length , stroke ) and came up with an exact replacement for around $12. The AC supply folks wanted around $80. I've become a believer in checking local resources before calling the restoration folks.

Ron some of the expansion springs from a over head garage door will work just fine for trip bucket return springs. my brother and i discovered this by acident when he was looking for a sping for his loader. I compared some door springs i had with his bucket spring a perfect match. where do you live at here in Ia? Do not be alarmed if i do not answer for a few days as i am gone from here during the week most of the time. As for the seat shock did you try your local AGCO dealer.

For Jim in Iowa. I live in Knoxville, Iowa.

Everyone: I'll check out the suggestions I've received from everyone. Thanks for the tips.

I'll continue to track this site for more ideas and share mine.
