I bought a AC WD 45 for the cabin (300 miles away) and I had a JD # 8 mower given to me. The WD has a field cultivator on it now. What problems am I going to run into when I get the two together. In other words what should I bring from HOME.
Thanks for the help and suggestions. Any place I can look on the net to see what the front of a # 8 and the rear of my Allis look like.

Paul, I also had a #8 given to me and I bought a JD operators manual for it. ( JD dealer). I would be lost with out the manual, but if it helps any, the manual says that for a WD and WD45 you need the tractor hookup extention drawbar # A2357HH;
Shielded power shaft(which I don't use)#BH50043H; and Optional Cutter bar lift, either 106 or 111.The 106 is for a hydraulic cylinder and the 111 is for hand lift. Mine has the remote hydraulic cylinder for lifting the blade. Wish I could help you more, but I use mine on a Farmall M.
