Does anyone know who manufactured the starters for the Model 5020 Allis? It is a cub tractor, diesel, 24 horse, approximately a l982 model. I have tried everywhere I can think of to buy a new starter for "Baby Allis" but have had no luck. Would appreciate any help I can get on this. Thanks! !

More than likely you starter is a Hitachi starter! Retail on these starters depending on your serial number of the tractor is $879-1359.

If you can part with your starter I can have rebuilt for you for around $100 depending on whats wrong.

E-mail me and i will give you my dealer address.

To Pat R:
Thanks for your reply. You are probably right. Had a quote of 1300 from a dealer about 40 miles north of here. He wasn't about to tell me any more than the price. Have had the thing rebuilt three times if that makes any difference. Need your e mail address.

Hi Mary Ann

I always put my e-mail address in the blank, but i realize that it dosen't show!

A couple of questions for you on your starter:What is the failure rate I.E. time it takes to fail. Also what goes wrong with it,stater drive or is it electrical armature, windings?

E-mail address is 70cutlasssupreme@prodigy.net
