Model B Transmission Lube

I use hydraulic-transmission fluid in my 1950 A-C Model B and it seems to work great except for a couple of things:

1. Since I changed from the 20W oil that came in the tractor when I bought it, the transmission seems to take forever to quit rotating when I push in the clutch. I usually wind up grinding gears.

2. The implements seem to drop a whole lot quicker when I push forward on the control lever and seems to creep down faster.

I know that all of this is to be expected from a thinner consistency oil.

Question: How much thinner is the hyd-trans fluid than the 20W oil? Is 30W oil too thick to be used in the hyd-trans in the summer?

On my old Farmall, the transmission stops rotating immediately because of the 80W oil.

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

The AC B book says use 20 w oil when the tractor is equiped with hydrolic pump> There is a thumb screw on the pump near the linkage connection that regulates the let down speed.
