I have a 40 rc that I pull at antique pulls. It's a strong runner, but could use a little more. I don't want to mess around boring it out or trying to modify it any. Just need a little more grunt.

pull the head off shave it to the max. port head
and manifold and put a wd carb and a d14 govenor
spring and you will see a good difference.

If your going to dance you have to pay the fiddler. Sounds like your pulling instead of dancing, the fiddler would be the machine shop.
