1944 AC C

Are all the model C's narrow front ends? I inquired about a 1944 "C" and the old lady said it was a wide front end. Also what horsepower are these? She wanted 2,000.00 It has hydraulics, front plow, one bottom plow new brakes, battery, recored rad, new thermostat and good tires. I thought it was a littly high. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Bill, Sounds about right if the engine is in good shape and you need the attachments. The wide front adds value if you are collecting. As Dick said, check the motor out thoroughly. It is real easy to put $800 in the motor of one of these, add a manifold, radiator, tire or two and some misc. and a "bargin tractor" turns in to a money pit real quick.

No, you could get the C with an adjustable wide front. I don't think that is a bad price for everything if the engine is strong. My book calls out 21.17 HP at the pto and 15.6 HP on the drawbar at 1850 rpm's
