i have a 1948 wd which i believe is the first year they were made. when i die mine goes to my nephew. so this tells you what i think of this tractor!i've had mine for almost 20 years . mine has the pin hitch instead of the snap coupler type . i have a d17 with a snap coupler attatched 3pt hitch. it is ok. but the snap coupler is a better system than the 3pt in my estimation. but since i have an older bushog where the company wasnt smart enough to move to the snap coupler system yet !lol =) i do wish the wd had a slower speed but other than that ,i am going to put power steering on mine too ! it's not a cute tractor as the fords but it will do twice the work. a friend told me about his wd [it was really a wc] so i bought mine when i was i believeabout22. im 40 now and she needs an over haul and the power steering put on. and some non serious stuff done. but i believe i was really lucky that this was my first tractor!=) i added the hydraulic line later so i have remote hydraulics now too! the price sounds great and especially with new tires and an over haul. i would definitly go for it! good luck and let us know how it comes out!=)
