WD low oil pressure

Have a '51 WD that I use every day on our farm. After the last oil change, I noticed the oil pressure wasn't reading as high as it had been. It is still in the normal range, just reads closer to the "N" & "O" on the original guage. 10W-30 on the new oil, same as I've been running. Also, anyone know how to easily fix a stripped out spark plug hole, #1 cylinder ?

Could be that a bit of carbon or partical of something is partially blocking the orfice on the guage. Switch out the guages and go from there. As far as the stripped plug hole. The local Napa or parts stores have a heli-coil kit that you tap out the old hole and install a heli-coil and then you are reedy to go. It is recommended to have that piston up to top center and have a small magnet to pull out any filings that will get into the cylinder.

A lot of times people, including myself, accidently throw away the oil filter tube with the old filter when they change them. Without it, the pressure won't read correctly and the oil won't be filtered. (the metal tube that extends from the base of the filter housing up through the filter to the top.) Otherwise, maybe a straight 30w oil or 20w50 will read higher if engine bearings are worn. Good luck, RC.
