Just purchased my first tractor, a 1954 WD45 and am wondering if it is a good idea to install a loader or not? Does it make steering very hard? Also wondering if I should follow recomended oil
weights from manual or if any hydraulic oil will work fine and if a multi weight engine oil will work?

Scott,I`ve have 2 WD-45`s with Dual loaders. They do steer tough if you don`t have power steering.I also would recomend fluid for the rear tires to balance out the extra weight of the loader.I use 10-30 oil for the motor, hydraulic oil for the lift and 80-90 in the transmission-rear end assembly.
