Adding PTO to B/C

I thought I saw this before but I can't find it in the archives. I have a B with no rear unit, just a flat cover. Will the belt / PTO unit just bolt on, or do I need to change the transmission shaft? It doesn't look like the shaft sticks out far enough to drive the unit, and I'm not willing to buy the unit unless the trans is what I need. Thanks again for the help.

It sticks out far enough. You might need the little bearing the goes on the end of the shaft. You never know what happened in years past. The bushing type bearing is held in place with a snap ring at the end of the shaft.
