I was wondering if anyone could tell me the approximate value of a D-17 I found. It is in very good shape, either restored or just very well taken care of, it has the conventional 3pt on it. I'm not sure of the hours on it, it does have a gas engine. It's at a dealership in Kansas and they say they want $4900 for it, that seems high to me, any thoughts?

Alot depends on: power steering, wide front, tires, condition, and the series. Early series D17's in good shape usually go for $2,800-$3,000. Late model D17's had better hydraulics and several other improvements. These usually go for more, $4,500 wouldn't be out of line. A tractor newly repainted or restored would certainly drive the cost up depending on the quality of the job. Good Luck
