What is a fare price for a AC-C with a woods 59" belly mower? Runs good recently rebuilt engine, paint and decals.

It's realy hard to tell without looking the tractor over real good. (Rebuilt engine) who rebuilt it and what all parts were used. The term rebuilt has many meanings. (New Paint) This is the same, who painted it and how did it turn out. I just went to look at a IH 140 yesterday with new paint and decals, they waisted the decals. It was red! You could see every rust pit and they didn't take the old paint off where the rust hadn't. They also put the decals over paint runs and there was dryed paint drips hanging all along both sides of the hood. It did have new rims and tires all around. It was advertised as restored.
Now after this story I would say 800.00 low price and around 3,000.00 on the high side. If your not sure I would ask the 3000.00 and see what people say when they look at it. Your question is a loaded one.

I have a "C" with a Woods 306 (72") belly mower. I bought it about 10 yrs. ago when the mower was new. I paid $2500 for it then. Since then we have put new tires on and I have been advised that it would retail for about 2500 yet. I agree with Dick, price depends upon condition. It costs alot to get them running well if repairs are needed.

o paid $2250 for my B and L305 59" belley mower 3 years ago. It has a distributor, electric start, belt, PTO, and hydraulics. I since have put many hours and much money in it. With the fresh paint, EVERYTHING rebuilt (including the front end, trans, head, electric, etc), factory plow, cultivator, and sickle mower, better than new paint (no factory drips or sags on my job), new paint, stainless bolts, etc, it will probably bring $3500. Dealer is asking $2750 for a C with a new mower. Like Dick says, depends on the tractor, the options, and the buyer's need. I buy basic running B's and C's for $1000 or less, with one piece of equipment(plow, mower, blade, or whatever).
