I run a Woods L306, using the belt pulley shaft, and the hydraluic lift. On/off time is 1/2 hour with a wrench and a floor jack
I agree you cannot use the tractor for the "handy" work, but if you are just going to mow with it it works fine.
Do not use biugger than 5' if you don't cut your grass every couple of days - I have burned up a couple of these tractors with 6' mowers and longer, wet grass.
You also can make a drawbar attachment to "tow" a 3-point type mower, as long as it has 4 wheels. I spent $20 in steel and welding rod, and 2 hours, and now can have my B and mow too.

I use a Woods model 503L. It's a 5 foot mower with manual lift. I have it mounted to a 1952 B that has hydraulics but I went with the manual lift because the pto has to be ingauged for the hydraulics to work and that means the mowing deck would have to run also. I have no problems running the mower, and you could run a 6 foot deck, but I mow on some hilly ground and the H.P. requirements for the 6' deck are a little more, so I didn't push it. Now for the draw-backs, installation is a JOB!!
The rear wheels must be set out as wide as they will go, buy a thread tap to clean out the bolt holes where the mounting brackets will go, and have some help on hand, I installed mine by myself and said some bad words doing it. If you plan on using the tractor for anything else like going in the woods to get firewood, fincing, or any other "back 40's" type work, buy a lawnmower, or another tractor. The trouble I go through to take the deck off and put it back on is a pain in the butt, but you do what you have to do, and the next thing I do is to buy another tractor. Sorry for the book, but I hope this might help.
