I'd like to get a loader for my WD. would prefer a fully hydraulic type. A local lot has a couple of Farmhand F235s but they look a little big for a WD, or are they? They also have a JD 520, too small? What should I be looking for and what should I expect to pay? What about the original trip bucket type? I want it mostly for forklift type duties up to 1500lbs or so, not much dirt/rock work.

Andy:
Look for a Paulson loader or a Freeman loader. Freeman built for AC later as AC's factory loader. I use a short frame Paulson on my '39 WC with the paulson extenions (6ft wide bucket)You should be able to pick one up (trip bucket) from $25 - $150 at a farm sale. Condition dictates price.

Andy,

I have one I am selling. It is currently on my D-17 but was originally on a WD. It was a trip bucket but the person that had it before me converted it into a hyd bucket. I am near Indianapolis, IN. FYI, most WD's I've seen with loaders have a trip bucket.
