Cliff, you finally got smart. I bought my first WC 45 years ago when I was 16. Wish I had it or one like it now. I have a WD45, a WD, 2 stylized WC's(one a 39 on steel wheels) and a B. Although I'm a true orange man, I have to fess up to aquiring a Ford 9N recently. Am currently in the process of restoring the Wide front WD45. You made the right decision.

I'm not an AC expert, but according to the information on D. Stratton's AC page, that serial number would belong to a 1946 Allis Chalmers WC. I believe the WC has a few more ponies than the H, and a little more pulling power (I don't have the Nebraska test results at my fingertips). I don't believe the WC has the "infinitely adjustable" rear wheels like the H. There are a few of us out there who don't consider it a sin to taste the forbidden fruit of another tractor color.
