B Cultivator attachment

Bought a B with mounted cultivators. It appears that something is missing (or I am just too stupid to figure out how they bolt up). The guy I bought them from is trying to find out what the problem is and has been very helpful but I thought I would do a little research myself.

The way I see it the front bolts to the tourque tube just like the mower. There are two other points that bolt under your feet, again just like the mower. I also have a bar about 3 or 4 feet long with a round hole in one end and a slotted hole in the other. This bar has some bends formed in it. I don't know what this hooks to. There are also two rods (one on each side) that are about 12 inches long with springs on them. They are each formed into a 90 on the ends with a hole for a pin. Where do these go? They come up roughly under the rear axle. These cultivators are hand lift and I can't see how one side is attached to the other. Also, what does the rod from the hand lift attach to? Am I missing a piece?

The two bolt flange does bolt to the torque tube and there is a sloted flange for one bolt that bolts to the square foot rest tube on the tractor. Just behind that and below that flange is about a 1 1/2" stamped flanged hole on both of the top frames that a rocker shaft goes in. The rods with the springs go into the end holes in the rocker shaft arms and the lower frame. The small springs are for down pressure. If it is manual lift the rod that is attached to the lift lever goes into the short arm of the rocker shaft on the right hand side. You should have a large helper spring that hooks into the long rocker shaft arms close to the shaft. The only place both sides are attached togather is behind the rear tires. This is an arch that bolts on with two bolts on each side. It is arched for clearance as the plants pass under your tractor. This should be as clear as mud untill you get them on the first time. It sounds like you have the rocker shaft, and the lift rods. You didn't list the arch, or the lift helper springs.

Thanks for the reply. I have the cultivators bolted to the trctor right now. I DO NOT think I have the rocker shaft you are talking about. How big in diameter is this rocker shaft? How long is it? Is it straight or shaped in some way? The Bar I have that I think you are thinking is the rocker shaft is flat stock about 1/4 inch thick, 1 inch wide and about 3 feet long. It doesn't sound like anything you have described. I'm starting to think it doesn't even go with the cultivators. I also don't have the helper spring. Looks like I need to find some parts before I can cultivate anything. Thanks again.
