I am having a problem getting enough travel on the clutch pedal. The problem is the friction plate in the pressure plate bottoms out before the clutch plate is released.I was told the clutch had recently been replaced. The flywheel was resurfaced flush and I think it is possible it was recessed in the center where the clutch plate mates with the flywheel. This would explain why the pressure plate bottoms out before releasing.I am trying to find out if the flywheel was originally recessed if anyone can give me any information it would be appreciated, thanks

Flywheel was not recessed. Slight shoulder may
be encountered at ring gear. We have them turned
with the ring gear on so the recess in the ring gear is the same surface as the flywheel.
