I need a source for Rear wheel seals for the WC Allis-Chalmers. These seals are made of a cork-like substance and are about 8" diameter and about 7/8" thick. The tractor is about a 1947 model WC. Can anyone help?

The serial # you listed is a 1947. I am coming
to the end of a 1945 WC restoration. It has
been my winter project. I have always had Farmalls
before this but I think the WC is easy to repair easy to get parts for and should be a pretty good
tractor. Good Luck!!

They are still available and are made of neoprene rubber. The part # is 79016729 and is about $25
each. I would check with Bill at Sandy Lake Imp.
he has helped me alot. When you install them be
sure you set your wheel bearing preload before
you install the new seals because they make the
wheel very hard to turn. I would double check the part # but I'm quite sure that is it. Good luck!

Thanks for the replys on the WC rear wheel seals. My dad has recently bought a WC to work on.We have had Farmalls for years but this Allis-Chalmers is like the first tractor my dad and his brother ever had. They bought it along with a John Deere 12-A combine in the early 1940's.
The serial # of this tractor appears to be WC169488. Can anyone tell from this what year it is. The lady that we got it from said she thought her husband bought it in 1947. Thanks Again.
