Wide front end for WD45

My WD45 has the tricycle front end. Can it be changed over to a wide front end?

: Yes, I just did my WD a few weeks ago. There's a pin to drive out to disconnect the steering alongside the engine. You need to unbolt the loop support for the steering shaft. There are 4 bolts a side in the big cast block up front between the frame rails. Support the front of the tractor and drive the whole thing forward and out. The wide front goes in same as the narrow front. The only other difference is two holes in the angle iron crossmember under the engine with the wide front, the narrow front crossmember does not have these holes. Driving the old front end out was really rough. Finding a good wide front can also be difficult. Other than that, it's really no big deal, you can pretty much figure out what to do by looking at it. Be careful, the stuff's heavy.
